Adjust the belt tension if necessary. Loosen the
adjustment/fixing screw of the alternator ([1] figure 2) and
using a lever ([3] figure 2), move the alternator ([2] figure 2)
until obtaining the desired tension.
Finally, tighten the adjustment/fixing screw again.

Check the clearance between the bottom of the belt and
the groove of the pulley. If there is no clearance the belt
needs to be replaced.

Check for any cracks/tears, traces of oil or signs of wear. If
any of these conditions are found, replace the belt.

Install the new belt and repeat the aforementioned
tensioning procedure.

DRAINAGE OF WATER FROM THE FUEL PRE-FILTER
Drain the water separator (or pre-filter) each time contaminants
accumulate on the floor of the sump, for example water. When
contaminants are found, do not wait for scheduled maintenance (every
50 operating hours) but proceed to drain it immediately.
The separator sump is made of a semi-transparent material. There is a
red floating ring in the sump. The floating ring rises to the surface of
the water to indicate the quantity of water collected (and therefore to
be drained).
