TOWING THE MACHINE
The machine’s hydrostatic transmission is constantly engaged as is the traction on all four
wheels. Moreover, when the Diesel engine is off, the brakes are blocked.
Due to these particular peculiarities it is not possible to tow the machine with the engine off apart from the
short distance to move it away from a danger or obstruction zone, otherwise the transmission parts will be
damaged.
i.
RELEASE OF INTERNAL PARKING BRAKE ON AXLE
Attention: BLOCK THE WHEELS. Not doing so may be very dangerous or even fatal for the operator:
the vehicle may in fact move on its own.
Immobilise all four wheels to stop the vehicle from moving once the brake has been released.
To release the negative (parking) brake:
1.
Loosen the two screws (30) on the axle cover (one on the opposite side of the axle to the other).
2.
Remove the spacer (32).
3.
Tighten the screws (30) manually again until they come into contact with the internal thrust plate.
4.
Subsequently, using a wrench, tighten both screws alternately with a ¼ turn on each side until they are
tight.
To reactivate the negative brake:
1.
Loosen the screws (30) again, alternately with a ¼ turn on each side and insert the spacer (32)
between the head of the screw and the axle body.
2.
Tighten the screws on the spacer to a torque of 100 Nm.
Attention! High speeds and long towing distances may generate excessive heat and insufficient lubrication.
This damages the axial piston operating unit.
