Add LAN Port dialog box
In the
Add LAN Port
dialog box you can add a new Ethernet connection and select the
system you want the TV80 to interface.
How to open
To open the
Add LAN Port
dialog box, select
Add LAN Port
at the bottom of the
I/O Setup
page.
The
I/O Setup
page is located in the
Installation
dialog box.
Description
When you need to establish an
Ethernet (Local Area Network (LAN))
communication with external sensors or
peripheral systems, you need to add a LAN
Port and select which input you want the
TV80to receive. Select the system you
want to interface from the list provided. If
your equipment is not listed, select
Other
hardware
.
Select Input (Serial) dialog box
Serial line communication is important for TV80 operation. The information from external
devices is based on serial line “datagrams”. For most commercial devices, the formats of
these datagrams are defined by NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association). In the
Select Input (Serial)
dialog box you can select the input for your available COM port for
interface purposes.
