Supply power requirements

Observe the general requirements related to the supply power.

The supply voltage to the SC90 must be kept within ±10% of the installation’s nominal
voltage.

Maximum transient voltage variations on the main switchboard’s bus-bars are not to
exceed -15% to +20% of the nominal voltage (except under fault conditions).

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) requirements

Observe these requirements related to the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).

It is important to ensure continuous operation of the SC90 independent of varying quality
of the vessel's mains supply. The use of uninterruptible power supplies is therefore
required.

Uninterruptible power supply units are not included in the standard SC90 delivery.
These items must be purchased locally.

Several commercial types are available. To choose the best power solution for your
SC90 installation, consider environmental conditions, space available, the availability
and duration of the batteries, and the power requirements of the SC90.

Two systems are required:

One power system is required to power the Processor Unit and the display.

2

One power system is required to power the Transceiver Unit.

The minimum specifications for the uninterruptible power supply are:
