Operation
This chapter explains the operating panel and the general operation of the DME5000. For
more detailed information on commissioning and operation of the DME5000 see chapter
5 "Commissioning".
6.1
Operating Panel Setup
The operating panel has two areas:
LC-Display: Indicates the menu during parameterization
Function buttons: To enter the parameters or functions

Operation
The DME5000 is equipped with a membrane keyboard.
Only operate the input area with your fingers or a suitable pointer!
Never use any pointed or hard objects. They may damage the function buttons, which
would make operation difficult or impossible.
6.3
Operating Panel
After application of the operating voltage (or after reset), the following display appears on
the DME5000:
After approx. 1 s, the DME5000 is operational and shows the current distance value to the
reflector, if in sight.
