2. Removing the front axle
* Remove the front link and universal joint on the
mower before proceeding with this work.
1) Remove the battery cable (+, -), and then remove
the battery .
2) Remove the V belt that drives the PTO shaft.
[Remove the upper and lower belt covers.]
3) Use a stand to raise the front of the frame, and then
remove the front tires.
4) Remove the nut and spring washer from the front
of the PTO shaft drive, and then remove the pulley
and plate together as a single unit.
[Remove the grease nipple first.]
5) Pull out the pins on both ends of the power steering
cylinder, and then separate the cylinder from the
tie rod and front axle .

CAUTION:
Use a swing stopper (such as a wood block) to
prevent the front axle from swinging.

CAUTION:
Remove the hydraulic hose with separating it.
