The SERVOPRO FID is simple to operate, with an intuitive user interface (see
Section 4).
Gas sample measurement is shown on the SERVOPRO FID display, and can also
be output to a serial device connected to the SERVOPRO FID (optional), or as
milliamp (mA) output.
1.4 Sample measurement configurations
The SERVOPRO FID can be supplied to measure hydrocarbons in 5 different
backgrounds. According to the background, the type of fuel can differ.

The SERVOPRO FID will give a response to other hydrocarbons that is proportional to the
number of hydrocarbons contain in the molecule. However, it will not necessarily be linearly
proportional because of incomplete hydrocarbon oxidation of larger molecules.
