Abnormality 2. 

SYSTEM PRODUCTION, PRODUCT WATER FLOW, IS HIGHER THAN 

NORMAL. 

 

The Ultra Whisper System self adjusts the operating pressure, up or down accordingly, to produce the specified 

amount of Product Water.  Therefore, the System should never produce more Product Water than specified unless 
one or more of the following has occurred: 

 

a.  There is a blockage in the Brine Discharge Line causing Brine Water by-pass into the Product Water 
 
b.  The 3-way Product Water Diversion Solenoid Valve is not properly adjusted 

 
c.  There is bypassing of the Feed Water into the Product Water due to a broken or worn Product Water O-

ring, a crack or imperfection in the High Pressure Vessel End Plug, or the R.O. Membrane Element is 
damaged. 

 
d.  The System components have been mismatched 

 

 

IF   The Feed Pump Inlet Compound Vacuum/Pressure Gauge [5] registers Normal with slight vacuum or 0 (zero) 

PSI, and the other 3 pressure gauges (Prefilter Inlet Pressure Gauge [12], Prefilter Outlet Pressure Gauge 
[16], and Operating Pressure Gauge [18]) all register higher than normal this would indicate that there could 
be a blockage in the Brine Discharge Line causing the excessive pressure readings and by-passing of Brine 
Water into the Product Water through the 3-way Product Water Solenoid Diversion Valve resulting in excess 
Product Water Flow.

a.  POSSIBLE CAUSE:  BLOCKAGE IN THE BRINE DISCHARGE LINE 

 

2)  Ensure that any valve in the Brine Discharge Line or at the Thru Hull Discharge Fitting [22] is full 

OPEN. 

 
3)  Ensure that there are no kinks or other blockages in the Brine Discharge Line.
