Control systems
Interfaces towards different control systems are
installed to facilitate the control of the ship.

The control systems are not included in the
SCHOTTEL scope of supply.
Autopilot system
The Autopilot system steers the ship on a preset
course.
The Autopilot system is switched on with the
illuminated push--button PILOT ON (18/1) and
switched off with the push--button PILOT OFF (18/2).
If the Co--pilot or the control lever is shifted by more
than
±
15
°
out of the ahead course, there is an automatic
change--over to manual steering and the horn sounds.
The horn can be switched off by pressing the
push--button PILOT OFF.
DP system
With the D igital P ositioning system, the ship is kept on
her actual position.
Joystick system
With the joystick system, the ship is controlled with one
individual control lever.
INFORMATION

Joystick system and DP system override the manual
steering and the Autopilot system.
The active state of these systems is indicated with the
light of the signal lamp DP JOYSTICK IN SERVICE
(19/1).
