6.5.1 Special Case: Mechanical Grippers
WARNING
Uncontrolled gripper movements
Risk of injury due to grippers responding quickly at high pump speeds.

Set the selector switch (m) to low speed before using mechanical grippers.
When you are using mechanical grippers, the vacuum sensor signal (3B1)
remains permanently at 1. This means that you cannot move the industrial
truck while a mechanical gripper is attached.
6.6 Switching On and Off
CAUTION
Damage to the entire system
The suction cup must never apply suction to the floor/supporting surface as this
will cause damage to load-bearing parts of the entire system.

The tube lifter must be in its parked position and in the retaining net. Ensure
that it cannot suck onto or grip anything else.
A minimum distance of approx. 10 cm must be maintained between the suction
cup and the supporting surface.
The suction cup must not be on the surface when you switch on the unit.
6.6.1 Starting Up the Industrial truck with the Tube Lifter Attached
The industrial truck is equipped with a digital controller (see instructions for the final unit).
1.
Switch on the industrial truck.
2. Enter the driver code.
3. Switch on the vacuum generator.
You can use the button assembly to switch the unit on or off. The green
buttons (k) will light up when the vacuum generator is operational.
