6 Operation
6.1 Checks Before Starting Work
Check the following at the start of every shift (if the unit is not operated continuously) or once a week
(if operated continuously):
1. Non-return valve (see section 9.3)
2. The function of the scissor arm
3. The function of the tube lifter

Stand outside of the danger zone while checking the system.
Rectify all faults before using the system.
Should faults occur during operation, switch off the system immediately and
rectify the faults.
6.2 Safety Instructions for Operation
WARNING
Risk of injury due to high vacuum and flow rate
Hair, skin, body parts and items of clothing can be sucked in.

Closely fitting clothing and a hairnet must be worn.

Do not reach or look into the opening of the suction connection.
►
Do not position the suction connection near body orifices.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to falling parts and uncontrolled gripper movements
If the tube lifter’s maximum lift capacity is exceeded, parts can break off and
fall while the tube lifter rises rapidly in an uncontrolled manner. People could be
hit and injured.

Never use physical force to assist the lifting process

Do not exceed the suction cup's maximum lift capacity (see type plate).
