6.9.3 Raising and Lowering the Fork Arms
CAUTION
Raising the industrial truck
’s fork arms while they are loaded with
bulky objects
Damage to the tube lifter and/or load.
►
Before raising the fork arms, ensure that there is enough space between the
tube lifter and the load.
►
Do not raise the fork arms if the load could inadvertently be gripped when the
tube lifter is switched on.
No load / vacuum generator off
1. Park tube lifter. Hook operator handle into retaining net and lock it into place.
2. Switch off vacuum generator.
3. Safety switches are activated.
4. Jib is locked into both safety switches.

No load / vacuum generator on
1. The vacuum tube lifter is to be driven by the operator.
2. Vacuum generator on.
3. Safety switches are inactive.
4. Jib can be moved freely.
5. Operator handle must be near the pedestrian control panel.
