Adjusting Audible and Haptic Feedback
Haptic feedback is only available on the NovaChat 5 device. Audible
feedback is available on all NovaChat devices.
The application provides an option to have an audible and/or vibration
sensation when a button is activated. The vibration sensation option
setting is called haptic feedback.
To add haptic or audible feedback:
Choose
Menu
>
Settings
>
System
>
Sound Settings
.
Audible Selection
provides an audible click when navigating through
NovaChat menus.
Haptic Feedback
vibrates to indicate screen touches.
Note:
Haptic feedback is only available on the NovaChat 5 device.
To add button clicks for vocabulary page activations:
Choose
Menu
>
Settings
>
Input
>
Beep on Button Press
.
To adjust keypress vibration duration on a NovaChat 5 device:
Dedicated devices:
Dedicated devices do not have access to the Android
settings. You will not be able to change this setting.
If the default duration of keypress vibrations is not appropriate for the
user, do the following to adjust the setting.
In the Android operating system choose
Settings
>
Language and Input
>
Google Keyboard
>
Advanced
>
Keypress Vibration Duration
. Then
adjust the slider bar as necessary.
