PRELIMINARY CHECKS
1.
If your machine was shipped, remove all crating from machine frame. The skids should be removed when the
machine is located in the contractor’s truck or other form of transportation.
2.
Be sure that the hopper area is free of loose objects.
3.
Check that chain and belt drives are clear of loose
objects and that the drives are adequately tensioned.
4.
Check for components that may have vibrated loose, such as;
airstream connections, wiring connections, bearings, guards, etc.
5.
Check the oil levels in the blower

, and the transmission

. When checking the oil
in the blower, turn the brass valve

90 degrees to check, a small amount should appear indicating sufficient
oil. Refer to the maintenance section for capacities and type of oil to use for each component.

Open the material conditioning slide

7.
Make sure that the air bleed control valve

is fully closed. The pointer should face the closed label.

8.
Make sure the master switch

is off and that the remote cord is not plugged into the receptacle

Close and secure any open guards
