MAINTENANCE

WARNING:

When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause
product damage.

WARNING:

Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to
comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do so could result in
objects being thrown into your eyes and other possible
serious injuries.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.

WARNING:

Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or de-
stroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.

REPLACING THE FUSE

NOTE:

Only use 15 A JAT blade type automotive fuses

for replacement. Look for replacement fuses where you
purchased this product. To replace a blown fuse:

Remove the current fuse and discard. Use a pair of fuse

pullers if necessary.

If the replacement fuse does not work, return to autho-
rized service center for repair.

REPLACING THE 12 V ADAPTOR FUSE

See Figure 15, page 14.

The 12 V adaptor contains a 250 V 2 Amp fuse to protect
the adaptor and charger from unexpected power surges.

To replace the fuse:

Remove the fuse cap from the top of the 12 V adaptor.

Replace old fuse with new one. If spring comes out, be

sure to reinsert it before installing new fuse.

CAUTION:

Do not use a higher rated fuse than the specified amper-
age. This could cause damage to the product.

Place fuse cap on top of fuse and thread back onto adap-

tor. Tighten securely.

REPLACING THE BULB

See Figure 16, page 14.

Turn off the unit and allow the bulb to cool

Rotate the lens cover counterclockwise. Remove lens

cover and lens.

Push bulb in slightly and turn it clockwise to release it

from bulb socket. Remove bulb

NOTE:

The spring should remain attached to the worklight

as shown.

Place replacement bulb into bulb socket. Push bulb in

slightly and turn it counterclockwise to secure it to bulb
socket.

Return the lens and secure the lens cover by turning it

counterclockwise until it is securely in place.

BATTERY PACK REMOVAL AND PREPARATION

FOR RECYCLING

See Figure 17, page 14.

Rotate the lens cover counterclockwise. Remove lens

cover and lens.

Remove the five screws located on the side of the inflator

and separate the housing.

Remove battery from motor housing and rotate it enough

to expose leads and battery terminals. Disconnect leads
from battery terminals.

NOTE:

Be careful not to break battery leads when discon-

necting them.

To preserve natural resources, please recycle or dispose of
batteries   properly.
This product uses lead acid batteries. Local, state or federal
laws may prohibit disposal of lead acid batteries in ordinary
trash.
Consult your local waste authority for information  regarding
available recycling and/or disposal options.

WARNING:

Upon removal, cover the battery pack’s terminals with
heavy-duty adhesive tape. Do not attempt to destroy or
disassemble battery pack or remove any of its compo-
nents. Lead acid batteries must be recycled or disposed
of properly. Also, never touch both terminals with metal
objects and/or body parts as short circuit may result. Keep
away from children. Failure to comply with these warnings
could result in fire and/or serious injury.
