18.6 PAPER FEED MECHANISM

When the Print key is pressed in the by-pass feed mode, the by-pass gate
solenoid [A] is energized and the gate pawls [B] move down. Then the main
motor starts rotating. The solenoid keeps on until the main motor is turned
off.

After the main motor starts rotating, the pick-up solenoid [C] is energized and
the pick-up roller [D] moves down to feed the paper.
