The custom library displays with a gray background, and any additions to the custom library display at the bottom
of the list with a white background (and a blue background when highlighted). Certain substances within the
custom library are turned off by default to ensure optimum performance.
Any additions to the custom library without the express prior permission of Rapiscan Systems are at the
customer’s sole risk. See the applicable Terms and Conditions of sale for more details. For support with adding,

To access the Substances screen, select Menu > Substances.

Select and Deselect
1. Select Menu > Substances.
2. Highlight the name on the list you want to select or deselect.
3. Do one the following:
• Click the Sel check box to select the substance. The column labeled Sel. displays yes for that
substance.
• Unclick the Sel check box to deselect the substance. A message displays verifying you want to turn off
the substance. Press Yes . The column labeled Sel. displays no for that substance.
4. Do one of the following:
• If you selected a substance, press OK to save and close the Substance Selection screen.
NOTE: The default substance list is set at the factory and has been tested for optimized detection. If you
select a substance that is not a default substance and in the opposite detection mode from the cur-
rent mode, a message displays that the detection sensitivity may be reduced.
