Synchronization
Description
Only the 100MS/s Channel is configurable as master, either
or both 50MS/s channels are configurable as slaves. The
master clock source may be internal or external. The
sample clock may be divided from 1-64k on channels 2 and
3. Master Slave configuration is for User and Sequence
Modes. Phase offsets, in reference to channel 1, can be
applied to channels 2 and 3. Synchronization applies also
for the following operating modes and conditions:
1) All trigger modes, where unique waveform length can be programmed to each channel
2) Mixed user and sequence modes (i.e., channel 1 is on user and channels 2 and 3 in sequence mode)
3) In continuous mode, synchronization between channels is possible only if all channels have the same
waveform length, or if the longest waveform is an integer multiple of the other two shorter waveforms.
Inter-Channel Phase Offset
Description
Phase offset is applied to channels 2 or 3 to create skew
between channels. Channel 1 is the reference channel.

Phase Offset Units

W = wave duration in ns
System Trigger Modes
Description
(Valid for all operating modes, sample clocks are
independent)
Separate
Channels are triggered independently
Common
Two or three channels are triggered together. The trigger
input is the master channel trigger from which channel 2,
channel 3, or channels 2 and 3 may be triggered. Equal
waveform length is not required for synchronization in this
mode.
Trigger Modes
Normal
Continuous waveform is generated.
