Validation Step 6—iSCSI Function and I/O Test
This test verifies that FCoE and iSCSI (IP) traffic is functioning well within the
unified fabric environment. The key measurement parameters are throughput,
IOPS, and completed I/O exchange rate for each traffic type.

shows
the configuration for testing iSCSI and I/O functions.

Validation Process
1.
Enable the Converged Network Adapter to process FCoE and iSCSI data.
2.
Configure the Analyzer to capture
any traffic
.
3.
Use MLTT to map QLogic Fibre Channel storage devices.
4.
Configure the test as follows:
Traffic: 100 percent read
Data size: 512K
Queue depth: eight.
5.
Capture a trace for the Fibre Channel storage.
6.
Use Expert to analyze the Fibre Channel storage trace, and calculate the
average, minimum, and maximum throughput.
7.
Map iSCSI storage devices.
8.
Configure the test as follows:
Traffic: 100 percent read
Data size: 512K

10Gbps
