1. General safety instructions
•
Observe the laws and regulations applicable to the handling of hazardous substances
and the instructions in this operating manual.
•
The operating/ assembly instructions must always be kept at the place of operation
•
Observe all accident prevention regulations and the Workplace Regulation.
•
Legally required safety instructions are to be posted in a visible place for users.
•
All safety and hazard warnings and the rating plate must be kept in a readable
condition.
•
Prior to commissioning, a functional test must be carried out to detect possible
damage due to transport, shipment or improper installation.
•
Do not use the product if it is not in proper condition.
•
Observe the technical data (storage quantities, loads, etc.) for the respective product.
•
Improper use may impair the protective function.
•
Operating personnel must be instructed in advance to prohibit access by unauthorised
persons.
•
The required safety checks may only be carried out by authorised specialist personnel.
•
Always keep the opening areas of the doors free.
•
Doors / drawers should only be kept open for loading and unloading.
•
Ensure sufficient technical ventilation (see Section 6).
•
Check the resistance of cabinet surfaces before storing chemicals.
•
Absorb and dispose of escaping hazardous substances immediately.
•
For the storage of aggressive substances (acids, alkalis, corrosive gases), special acid
and alkali cabinets should be used – risk of corrosion of interior fittings and ventilation
components.

It is beyond the scope of this document to list all applicable regulations and guidelines.
Always verify that your system complies with applicable regulations.
