12.7.3
Safe installation, commissioning, adjustment, installation / removal,
maintenance
The device is shipped ready to use and install with the exception of the control
cable and exhaust duct, which are not included in the scope of supply because
they must be adapted to the specific conditions on site. You must check the
electrical specifications (voltage, frequency) as well as the resistance of the
system and compare them with the information on the rating plate prior to
connecting the device to the mains.
The device may only be installed, operated and maintained by
appropriately trained, instructed and authorised persons.
•
Installation and commissioning: The device is attached to the cabinet by
means of the connection fitting (included). The signal output and the exhaust
duct are connected. You must ensure that no foreign objects can get into the
exhaust air monitoring system via the exhaust duct (protective grid). The
device is ready to use as soon as it is connected to the mains supply with
the mains plug. The green lamp indicates normal mode.
•
Function check: A function check should be carried out prior to connecting
the exhaust duct or as needed (see “Troubleshooting”). To do this, attach
the device and connect it to the mains supply. The device is ready to use as
soon as it is connected. The green lamp now lights up permanently. The
device should go into error mode if you cover over the exhaust air outlet
briefly in order to throttle the volume flow. Repeat this procedure several
times. In order to test the monitoring function without removing the device,
press the TEST button on the rear.
•
Adjustment: The exhaust air monitoring function is set to the required flow
at the factory, so that no further adjustments are necessary.
•
Installation / removal: Repair work may only be carried out by authorised
persons.
•
Maintenance: The device requires no maintenance.
