Preface
The
Basic Series Network Thermostat Configuration Guide
describes how to control
and configure Proliphix devices (for example, thermostats) through either the
Thermostat Device Interface (TDI) or more specifically through the browser-based
Thermostat Management Interface (TMI).
Audience
This guide is intended for managers and/or facilities managers or those responsible for
managing multiple devices remotely in small or medium size buildings, multiple
buildings, or corporate environments.
As a reader of this guide, you should be familiar with the use of an Internet browser
(for example Internet Explorer or Mozilla) and have a working knowledge of general
data networking principles. You should have prior experience with establishing a local
area network (LAN) in either a home or office. You should understand the basic
principles of connecting patch panels and switches as well as configuring features on a
firewall router.
