4 Select [PC] on the BROWSE screen.
Once the DJ softwa r e sta r ts, the cente r dis p lay’s BROWSE
sc r een will show the com p ute r cont r ol status, allowing the
r ota r y selecto r dial, select u p (  ) and down (  ) buttons to be
used to o p e r ate the DJ softwa r e.
For DJS:
The cente r dis p lay will show the DJS BROWSE sc r een. Fo r
details of actual o p e r ation, consult the section “Selecting DJS
Music T r acks” in the cha p te r on “No r mal Style” o p e r ation of
the MEP-7000 DJS Cont r ol Guide (PDF file on accesso r y CD-
ROM).
5 Press LOAD A (or B) button.
When the LOAD A (o r LOAD B ) button is pr essed while [ PC ] is
selected on the BROWSE sc r een’s sou r ce selecto r , the DJ
softwa r e’s t r ack will be set in the cont r olle r co rr es p onding to
the
LOAD
button pr essed (A o r B). Du r ing DJ softwa r e
o p e r ation, the cont r olle r a pp ea r s highlighted in the BROWSE
sc r een.
At the same time, the dis p lay A/B dis p lays “ PC ”.
For DJS:
The dis p lay A/B dis p lays “ DJS ”.
6 Use the controller to operate the DJ software.
Use the va r ious buttons, jog dial, and TEMPO adjust slide r to
o p e r ate the DJ softwa r e.
7 To switch to playback of disc or tracks on USB storage device
While cont r olle r A (o r B) is cont r olling the com p ute r , if a t r ack
on disc o r USB sto r age device is selected on the BROWSE
sc r een and the
LOAD A
(o r
LOAD B
) button is pr essed,
p layback and cont r ol will switch to the selected t r ack on disc
o r USB sto r age device.

Control using “Manipulator Style”
1 Connect to the computer.
The cente r dis p lay will show the [
PRO DJ
] logo.
2 Start the DJ software program.
When communication is established with the DJ softwa r e, the
buttons, jog dial, and
TEMPO
adjust slide r can be used to
cont r ol o p e r ation, and the MEP-7000’s cente r dis p lay, and
dis p lays A/B will show the cu rr ently p laying t r ack’s time data
and title, togethe r with the name of a r tist.

• When using the accesso r y DJS softwa r e and ce r tain othe r DJ
softwa r e pr og r ams, the MEP-7000’s cente r dis p lay, and
dis p lays A/B will show the cu rr ently p laying t r ack’s time data
and title, togethe r with the name of a r tist.
• By designating the MEP-7000 as an audio out p ut device in the
DJ softwa r e, t r acks p layed with the DJ softwa r e can be out p ut
f r om the d r ive unit.
