ABOUT MP3/AAC DISC PLAYBACK
This unit can p lay com pr essed music files (MP3/AAC) r eco r ded on CD-R/-RW, DVD-R/-RW, DVD+R/+RW, and DVD±R dual laye r media.
• Sta r tu p time will inc r eases as the numbe r of folde r s and files inc r eases.
ABOUT PLAYBACK FROM USB STORAGE DEVICE
By connecting a USB sto r age device to this unit, MP3/AAC/WAV/AIFF files r eco r ded on the device can be p layed on this unit.
Folde r levels Maximum 8 levels; if mo r e than 8 levels exist, files in the 9th and fu r the r levels cannot be p layed.
Maximum folde r s 2 000 p e r disc. If mo r e than 2 000 folde r s exist, those beyond 2 000 cannot be dis p layed.
Maximum files 3 000 p e r disc. If mo r e than 3 000 files exist, those beyond 3 000 cannot be dis p layed.
Reco r ding fo r mat Su pp o r ts discs r eco r ded using the ISO9660 file system.
When r eco r ding is p e r fo r med using the UDF file system, the disc cannot be p layed if the ISO9660 file system
is not r eco r ded jointly. Fo r details, consult the autho r of the a pp lication.

• USB sto r age devices su pp o r ted by this unit a r e of the class of USB mass sto r age devices including exte r nal ha r d discs,
p o r table flash memo r y devices, and digital audio p laye r .
Howeve r , o p tical disc devices such as exte r nal DVD/CD d r ives cannot be used.
• When connecting a USB sto r age device containing a la r ge numbe r of folde r s and files, some time may be r equi r ed to r ead in
the device contents.
• When a connected USB sto r age device contains multi p le p a r titions, only the initial p a r tition can be used.
CAUTION
Depending on the device used, proper playback may not be possible with all USB storage devices. Pioneer assumes
no responsibility for any loss of data resulting from connecting any given USB device to this unit.
• P r o p e r o p e r ation may not be p ossible when a USB sto r age device is connected th r ough a USB hub.
• Even if a USB hub is used to connect multi p le USB sto r age devices, the second and late r devices cannot be used.
• O p e r ation cannot be gua r anteed when using a USB sto r age device with installed flash ca r d r eade r .
• When connecting a USB sto r age device utilizing two USB cables, connect both cables to this unit’s USB p o r ts.
• If an elect r ical cu rr ent st r onge r than the allowable cu rr ent is a pp lied to the unit’s USB1 p o r t o r USB2 p o r t, the unit may sto p
su pp lying p owe r to the USB sto r age device, thus te r minating t r ansmission. In this case, a message will be dis p layed in the
cente r dis p lay of the unit, and the sto p indicato r s fo r USB1 and USB2 will flash r ed simultaneously. To r esto r e no r mal
o p e r ation, disconnect all USB sto r age devices connected to the unit, then hold eithe r of the USB STOP buttons de pr essed fo r
two seconds o r mo r e. Avoid connecting the USB sto r age device f r om which the excess cu rr ent was detected and othe r USB
sto r age devices connected th r ough a bus- p owe r ed USB hub. If no r mal o p e r ation is not r esto r ed th r ough this method, tu r n the
p owe r of this unit off, and then tu r n it back on.
