Part description Function
1 Heat roller Fuses toner to the paper by applying heat.
(Al Teflon coating)
2 Pressure roller Fuses toner to the paper by pressing paper to heat
roller.
(Silicone rubber + Fluorine plastic tube)
3 Cleaning web Cleans heat roller with non-woven cloth impregnated
with silicone oil. Coats roller with silicone oil to reduce
adhesion of toner.
4 Cleaning web roller Presses cleaning web onto heat roller.
5 Fuser thermostat Safety device used to turn off power supplied to
heater lamp under excessively high temperature
conditions
6 Fuser thermistor Sensor used to detect surface temperature of the
heat roller and control temperature to a specified
level.
7 Main heater lamp Halogen lamp for fusing
8 Sub heater lamp Lighting: warming up faster (FP-D450/D600)
9 Fuser inlet guide Guides paper to fuser roller
10 Upper fuser separation finger Assists in separating the copy paper from the heat
roller.
11 Lower fuser separation finger Assists in separating the copy paper from the
pressure roller.
12 Pressure spring Maintains pressure between heat and pressure
roller.
