2) Removal of dust filter A
(1)Remove the platen cover (or Sheet
Feeder/I-ADF if installed).
(2)Remove the top rear cover (2 screws).
(3)Disconnect the lattice connectors of any
options (System Console and LCC).
(4)Remove the rear cover (4 screws).
Peel off the filter A and replace them with
new ones.
3) Removal of laser unit (LSU)
(1)Open the front door.
(2)Remove the slit glass.
(3)Remove two screws on the original guide
plate.
Note : When the conductive platen glass
is installed, the grounding plate
screw must also be removed.
(4)Remove platen glass with original guide
plate.
(5)Remove the LSU PCB cover (2 screws).
(6)Remove the lens unit cover (3 screws, 2
connectors).
(1)Remove the laser unit.
(4 screws, 3 connectors)
Note : After replacing new unit, laser
power adjustment is required.
Refer to Laser power adjustment
procedure in the Adjustment
section.
