Setting the PS Printer Driver (DP-CL21M only)

Job Spool

Prints a document using the print job saved in the printer’s hard disk drive. To perform Job Spool 
printing (Check and Print or Memory Print), a hard disk drive must be installed in the printer. Be 
sure the Hard Disk Drive is defined as installed in the Device Options tab (

see “Device Options 

Tab (Windows 95 / Windows 98 / Windows Me)” on page 162

).

• None

Print job is not spooled in the hard disk drive.

• Check and Print

If Check and Print is turned on when printing a document, the print job is saved in the printer’s 
hard disk drive after printing a copy of your document. You can print copies of your document by 
accessing the job saved in the printer’s hard disk drive after reviewing the document. The saved 
job can be printed using the 

Menu Mode

 of the printer (

see “Performing Check and Print 

(Windows Only)” on page 48

) or 

HDD Utility

 (

see “Performing Check and Print” on page 

217

).

NOTE:

• The number of copies to print cannot be specified from the printer driver in Windows 98. 

However, a copy of the document can be printed by performing Check and Print.

• Memory Print

If Memory Print is turned on when printing a document, the print job is saved in the printer’s hard 
disk drive. You can print copies of your document by accessing the job saved in the printer’s hard 
disk drive. The saved job can be printed using the 

Menu Mode

 of the printer (

see “Performing 

Memory Print (Windows Only)” on page 54

) or 

HDD Utility

 (

see “Performing Memory Print” 

on page 220

).

Manual Duplex

Enables the selection of manual or automatic duplex printing when the automatic duplex unit is 
installed. You can perform automatic duplex printing by selecting 

Off

.

When you perform manual duplex printing, this setting must be set to 

On

. Be sure to set the 

Duplex setting (

see page 157

) before setting this feature.

Printer Collation

Prints copies of the entire document a number of times from first page to the last page.
If you print 3 copies of a 5 page document, a printer prints page 1 through page 5 three times. The 
hard disk drive must be installed in the printer to use this feature.

If an application software has collation feature, it is recommended to disable the applicaton’s 
collation option of the print window when printing a document with the collation feature. The printer 
driver’s Printer Collation feature will provide faster printing than application’s collation feature.
