Available font cache

Displays the amount of font cache memory now available to Type 32 fonts, which are a bitmap font
format that some printers support. The Adobe printer driver automatically adjusts the font cache
size according to the installed memory option selected in the

Printer features

box.

Enables you to set the following items. To set it, select an item and then change the setting with
the

Change setting for

Image Reduction

If the printer is not equipped with the optional memory, in the Fine, Enhance or Duplex mode a
Memory Overflow error may occur and it causes the deterioration of the image quality. The printer
automatically controls the print quality to prevent a Memory Overflow error by turning on the Image
Reduction. The printer panel indicates Image Reduction when the feature is working.

Selects a resolution:

Standard

Fine

or

Enhance

. A higher resolution (Enhance is highest)

provides better print quality. However, the throughput speed is diminished. Fine or Enhance
cannot be selected for Transparency.
