You can synchronise the initial time code value with an external device that supports time
code input/output.
• You can synchronise the initial time code value with an external device only when
[Count Up] in [Time Code] is set to [FREE RUN] in Creative Video Mode.

• Do not use any other BNC conversion cables (for TC IN/OUT) except the supplied one.
• Do not use the BNC cables with the length of 2.8 m (9.2 feet) or more.
• We recommend using a 5C-FB equivalent double-shielded BNC cables.

Preparations:
Turn this unit off.

Rotate the flash synchro socket cap in the direction
of the arrow to remove it (

• Be careful not to lose the flash synchro socket cap.

Insert the BNC conversion cable (

), and rotate the
locking screw in the direction of the arrow to attach
the cable (

Connect the BNC conversion cable and the external
device with the BNC cable, and turn on the camera.

Set the mode dial to [

Select the menu.

Synchronise the time code of the external device with that of the camera (TC OUT)
The initial time code value of the external device is synchronised according to the time
code signal (LTC signal) of the camera.

Connect the external device, and follow the steps needed to prepare for time
code synchronisation. (P58)
