SKIN CRSP A: Crisp for skin tone detail in
memory A
This is used to remove the very faint noise
components from the detail components in the
skin tone areas.
Adjustment range: –63 to 63
PHASE A: Phase for skin tone areas in
memory A
This enables the color phase of the skin tone
areas to be changed in the vector display range
from 0 to 359.
Adjustment range: 0 to 359
WIDTH A: Width of skin tone areas in memory A
This is used to expand the width of the skin tone
areas in a range from 0 to 255.
Adjustment range: 0 to 255
SATU A: Saturation of skin tone areas in
memory A
This enables the saturation of the skin tone
areas to be changed in the range from 0 to 255.
Adjustment range: 0 to 255
SKIN CRSP B: Crisp for skin tone detail in
memory B
This is used to remove the very faint noise
components from the detail components in the
skin tone areas.
Adjustment range: –63 to 63
PHASE B: Phase for skin tone areas in
memory B
This enables the color phase of the skin tone
areas to be changed in the vector display range
from 0 to 359.
Adjustment range: 0 to 359
WIDTH B: Width of skin tone areas in memory B
This is used to expand the width of the skin tone
areas in a range from 0 to 255.
Adjustment range: 0 to 255
SATU B: Saturation of skin tone areas in
memory B
This enables the saturation of the skin tone
areas to be changed in the range from 0 to 255.
Adjustment range: 0 to 255
ZEBRA: Skin tone area zebra
This is used to set whether to add zebra so that
the areas where the skin tone detail effects are
added to the Y signals of the PM output can be
visually recognized.
Selection range: OFF, A, B, A+B
EFFECT MEM: Selection of memory for adding
skin tone detail effects
This is used to select the memory in which the
skin tone detail effects are to be added.
Selection range: A, B, A+B
K
SDTV detail control switch [SD DTL]
This switch is selected when the extent of the detail
enhancement (hard/soft) of the SDTV image output is
to be changed.
When the SDTV detail OFF switch is lighted, the
effects will not be reflected in the images and the
numerical values will remain unchanged as well.
Since the SDTV video output is created from the
HDTV video output, the adjustments made by the SD
detail controls are not reflected in the HDTV video
output.
The SD detail control adjustments are independent of
the HD detail control adjustments.

V DTL: Vertical detail level
This is used to adjust the amount of vertical
detail.
Adjustment range: 0 to 63
H DTL: Horizontal detail level
This is used to adjust the amount of horizontal
detail.
Adjustment range: 0 to 63
CRISP: Crisp
This is used to set the maximum amplitude of
the very faint noise components which are to be
removed from the detail components.

PEAK1: Peak frequency 1
This is used to select one of the two contour
correction frequency bands (boost frequency or
peak frequency).
The thickness of the detail is changed.
