SDTV skin tone detail ON switch [SD.SKIN ON] (P.17)

When the AK-HC3500A/AK-HC3500 camera is used
This is used to suppress the detail in the skin color
parts of the SDTV video output.

When the AK-HC3800 camera is used
This does not operate because the function is not
available.
It is always in an unlit state.

PM character display switch [CHARA ON]
This is used to set the characters to be displayed on
the PM to ON or OFF.
When pressed and then released:
Display ON and menu selection
When held down:
Display OFF
6. Control item selector switches [CONTROL]
When these switches are selected (their lamps are
lighted), the corresponding adjustment items and
adjustment values appear on the LCD display.
The adjustment values can be changed using the
adjustment rotary encoders which are positioned
immediately below the display panel.
If a control item selector switch is pressed while another
control item selector switch is already selected, the other
adjustment item is displayed, and the values adjusted for
the adjustment items so far are stored in the memory.
When an already selected control item selector switch
is pressed again, it will be de-selected, and the value
established by adjusting the switch will be stored in the
memory.
Either “- - -” or a fixed value is indicated for those items
which cannot be set for the type of camera connected.
The values of the items can be adjusted only when the
corresponding MODE switches are functional.

Black shading selector switch [BLACK SHADING]

When the AK-HC3500A/AK-HC3500 camera is used
This is used to correct the black shading (the
coloring of black images).
When it is pressed (its lamp is lighted) and when
one of the SHADING R, G or B switches is then
pressed and selected, the adjustment items for the
black shading appear on the LCD display.
The black shading correction can be adjusted using
the four adjustment rotary encoders which are
positioned immediately below the display panel.
Perform the adjustments while the ND filter is in
the cap position or lens closed status.

Adjustment range: –100 to 100

This is used to correct the parabola wave of
black screen images in the horizontal direction.

V SAW: Vertical sawtooth wave correction
This is used to correct the sawtooth wave of
black screen images in the vertical direction.
Adjustment range: –100 to 100
V PARA: Vertical parabola wave correction
This is used to correct the parabola wave of
black screen images in the vertical direction.
Adjustment range: –100 to 100

When the AK-HC3800 camera is used
This does not operate because the function is not
available.
Even if you select the item, the display will be “- - -.”

White shading selector switch [WHITE SHADING]
This is used to correct the white shading. When the
switch is selected, its lamp lights.
When it is pressed and its lamp is lighted and when
one of the SHADING R, G or B switches is then
pressed and selected, the adjustment items for the
white shading appear on the LCD display.
The white shading correction can be adjusted using
the four adjustment rotary encoders which are
positioned immediately below the display panel.
Perform the adjustments with a white object filling
the entire screen and with the level near 100 %.
