22. Gain selector switch [M-GAIN]
M-GAIN
This is used to select the video input sensitivity.
The gain is selected using the
and
buttons.
–6 dB:
The input sensitivity is increased by –6 dB.
–3 dB:
The input sensitivity is increased by –3 dB.
0 dB:
The input sensitivity is increased by 0 dB
(standard setting).
+3 dB:
The input sensitivity is increased by 3 dB.
+6 dB:
The input sensitivity is increased by 6 dB.
+9 dB:
The input sensitivity is increased by 9 dB.
+12 dB:
The input sensitivity is increased by 12 dB.
When GAIN MAX LIMIT is set to 36 dB on the AK-HC3800
camera, the gain is switched to 18 dB, 27 dB, and 36 dB.
GAIN MAX LIMIT can be set on the MENU >
MAINTENANCE> SYSTEM page in the menu settings of
the camera.
23. Filter selector switch [FILTER]
This is used to select the optical filter.

HEAD switch [HEAD]
This is used to switch the control over the filter to the
camera head.
When the AK-HC3500A/AK-HC3500 camera is
used
The HEAD switches of the ROP and MSU will also
light when the LOCAL switch on the operation panel
on the rear of the camera is pressed so that the
switch lights.
Lighted:
Filter control is exercised at the camera
head.
Off:
Filter control is exercised at the MSU
and ROP.
When the AK-HC3800 camera is used
The HEAD switch is always lit because filter control
is always possible on the camera.

ND filter switches [ND 1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
When the AK-HC3500A/AK-HC3500 camera is used
These are the ND filter selector switches. The filter
setting can be changed when the HEAD switch lamp
is off.
When the lamp of the HEAD switch is lighted, only
the ND filter position is displayed.
ND 1:
CAP
ND 2:
Through (green light emitted)
ND 3:
1/4
ND 4:
1/16
ND 5:
1/64
When the AK-HC3800 camera is used
This cannot be selected because the CAP function
is not available.

CC filter switches [CC A, B, C, D, E]
When the AK-HC3500A/AK-HC3500 camera is
used
These are the CC filter selector switches. The filter
setting can be changed when the HEAD switch lamp
is off.
When the lamp of the HEAD switch is lighted, only
the CC filter position is displayed.
CC A:
3200K (green light emitted)
CC B:
4300K
CC C:
6300K
CC D:
Cross
CC E:
DF0
When the AK-HC3800 camera is used
These do not operate because the function is not
available.
All of the CC filter switches are off.
24. Red tally, green tally indicator
Red tally indicator
This lights when the red tally signal is input to the
communication connector on the CCU.
Green tally indicator
This lights when the green tally signal is input to the
communication connector on the CCU.
25. ALARM
This lights when optical transmission is not proceeding
satisfactorily or when a problem has occurred in the CCU
power supply.
If the optical transmission status is not satisfactory on the
menu on page17, clean the optical contact area. In all other
cases, immediately turn off the power, and contact your
dealer.
