IMPORTANT: The factory programmed probe calibration data should not be modified without consulting
Panametrics.
3.3.3 Removing the Transmitter from the System
Complete the following steps to remove the transmitter from the installation site:
1. Refer to Figure 2 on page 2 and use a 1-1/8” wrench on the probe hex nut to unthread the transmitter from the
fitting on the sample system or process line.
2. Record the dew point of the ambient air.
3. Disconnect the cable from the transmitter module.

3.3.4 Removing the Probe from the Transmitter
The Hygro
II
RTE probe is easy to remove from the dismounted transmitter by loosening the two shoulder screws and
disconnecting the internal M8 connector cable as shown in Figure 18 below. To remove the probe from the
transmitter, refer to Figure 17 above and proceed as follows:
1. Loosen the two captive shoulder screws just below the transmitter display above the hex head of probe.
2. Carefully loosen these screws until the probe assembly can rotate without any resistance within the display
head.
3. Carefully pull the probe out of the transmitter while ensuring the two O-rings stay in their glands.
4. Disconnect the M8 connector of the internal yellow probe cable by turning the locknut at the top of the probe.
Then, detach the probe (see Figure 18).
