4-2-3 Setting the Sensor's Sensitivity
Set the sensitivity while monitoring the values on the Linear Sensor Controller
connected.
4-2-4 Selecting the Analog Output Response Time
The response time is a measure of the speed with which analog displacement
output responds to a discrete change in the displacement amount. It is the time
taken for the output level to change from 10% to 90% of the total change in level
when rising or falling.
Measurement is performed at the set sensitivity.
This method is effective if there are no sudden changes
in the color, material, or orientation of the workpiece.
Select from two possible settings.
The sensitivity is automatically adjusted to the optimum
level for the workpiece.
This method is effective if the color, material, or orienta-
tion of the workpiece changes.
It may not be possible to obtain measurement results
while the sensitivity is changing.
High sensitivity
Set when measuring workpieces with a low reflection
factor, such as black paper or black rubber.
Low sensitivity
Set when measuring workpieces with a high reflection
factor.
