Outline

What is a 2-dimensional Code Reader?

It is a device for reading 2-dimensional codes directly marked on products and parts.
2-dimensional code means code that has two dimensions (faces).  It permits more data to be written than
bar code, which contains information in one direction only.

Integration of Objects and Data

In the case of critical parts that affect safety, there were calls for the management of history data
for each part.
Once 2-dimensional code has been printed on a part so that the object and the corresponding
information are “integrated”, part histories can be accurately managed. At the assembly stage
too, if the 2-dimensional codes of the parts are read and compiled in a database, the information
for individual products can be managed accurately, and in the event that any problem arises, the
cause can be traced quickly.
