Backing Up Data
This section explains how to make backup copies of data to flash memory or a computer.
When the power to the V530-R160 is turned OFF, all data settings are cleared. The V530-R160 loads
data saved to flash memory at startup. Therefore, when settings have been changed, be sure to save to
flash memory before turning the power OFF.
The 4 types of system and scene data listed below can be backed up on a computer or Memory Card.
This is a useful function for setting other devices with the same data. Backing up the setting data is
recommended as a precaution against loss due to data damage or device malfunctions.
Never input the RESET signal or turn OFF the power while saving or loading. Data may be lost, and the
V530-R160 may not operate properly the next time it is started.

System data
Backs up settings under
SYS
to a personal computer or Memory Card.
Scene data
Backs up settings under
SET
for each scene to a personal computer or Memory Card.
System data + Scene
data
Backs up both the system data and all scene data to a personal computer or Memory Card.
Image data
Backs up saved read images in BMP format to a personal computer or Memory Card. The
images can be displayed on most personal computers as BMP is a standard image format
for Windows.
The saved images can be batch saved to the root directory in the Memory Card. The file
names they are saved under are automatically appended with the figures 00 to 35 corre-
sponding to the memory numbers of the controller. (00.bmp to 35.bmp)
The image data in the root directory of the Memory Card (00.bmp to 35.bmp) can also be
batch loaded to the controller. Set file names for the data to be loaded from 00.bmp to
35.bmp corresponding to the memory numbers.
