The next step is to set up the two different images with the correct exposure settings to be able to find
the light colored code in one image, and the dark colored code in the second image. Each image is
selected by clicking on it, or by clicking on the decode tool radio button. Exposure and gain are set
through the image dialog shown below.
Within each image are the individual decode tools. When the user clicks on either radio button, the
system will take an image with the recently applied image settings, and the ROI for the decode tool will
become active. The user can grab, size and position the ROI around the code at this time.
Finally, using the Decoder Dialog, the user can direct the system to read just a particular set of code
types, as well to employ specific image enhancement settings to aid in reading the code.
At runtime, when the system is triggered, it will take the first image with the exposure in Configuration
Database entry 1, and if the symbol is not read, the system automatically takes a second image with
the exposure in Configuration Database entry 2 and tries the decode again.
