Adding and Deleting Images
– Add or delete images using the buttons at the bottom of the dialog box.
When a new image is added, it will inherit the settings from the previous image. Also, a single database
entry is automatically inserted into it as well.
Setting Image Parameters
– Each Image can be set up with unique Exposure and Gain values
through the Image Capture dialog. These settings will apply to all the decode tools within that image.
Note that the Image label is visible in this dialog.
Binning is an advanced parameter, and can be found in the
Advanced Settings > Camera Setup
section. Binning mode acquires an image sub-sampled with every other pixel. Binned acquisition is 2x
faster than normal acquisition. The smaller pixel area will also result in decreased decode times
provided that there is adequate PPE to decode the symbols. This setting applies to all decode tools
within that image.
Adding and Deleting Decode Tools
– The user can add decode tools to an existing image entry by
selecting an existing decode tool Radio button within that image, and then by hitting the + button next to
the Image Capture. The new decode tool will be inserted directly after the currently selected one.
All settings from the selected tool will be copied into the new decode tool, including the ROI position
and size. After insertion, focus will shift to the newly inserted tool. The user can move the new ROI into
place over the next symbol or set of symbols at this time.
The user can delete decode tools as well by selecting one and then hitting the – button. Focus will shift
to the previous decode tool within that image, or within the previous image.
Setting Decode Tool Parameters
– Each Decode Tool can be set to look for only certain Code Types.
Additionally each decode tool can be set to run with specific image enhancement settings, as well as
with a unique Region of Interest ROI.
