Changing the Display Language (English/Japanese)
Use this procedure to change the display language for the Teaching Box be-
tween English and Japanese.

Changing of the display language is performed in the EXTENSION mode. When
power is supplied the screen will be displayed in English.
After “MC Series” has been set as the connected model, press the CLR Key. Af-
ter the initial screen has been restored (refer to 3-3 Selecting the Connected
Model), perform the settings in EXTENSION mode.
Caution
Do not change the display language while the program is being executed or
while a motor is moving. Unexpected operation can result.

It is necessary to set the display language both before and after online connec-
tion. The Teaching Box display language before online connection is set from the
Teaching Box. After online connection this setting is made using the MC Unit’s
DIP switch.
For details on online connection refer to 4-1 Initial Operation.
In the following example, the Teaching Box and MC Unit are connected, as de-
scribed in 3-1 Connecting to the MC Unit.
Note Before performing this operation, be sure that the power to the PC is OFF.
