Inverter swimming pool heat pump

Servo-control of
a circulation pump
5.2
Frost protection
5.3
If you have connected a circulation pump to terminals P1 and P2, this pump is
automatically electrically powered while the heat pump is in operation.
If the heat pump is on standby, the circulation pump is powered intermittently in order
to monitor the water temperature in the pool.
Servo-control mode for the circulation pump (Parameter 28)
When you activate the heat pump, the circulation pump starts, followed by the compres-
sor one minute later. When the heat pump shuts down, its compressor and fan shut down,
followed by the circulation pump 30 seconds later. During a defrost cycle, the circulation
pump will continue to operate irrespective of the selected mode.
Mode 0: This mode was developed to maintain the filtration function of your swimming
pool irrespective of the use of the time switch programming. As soon as the target tem-
perature is reached, the heat pump switches to standby mode; the circulation pump shuts
down after 30 seconds. Subsequently, the circulation pump restarts in a special mode:
5 minutes operation, 45 minutes shut down. Thereby, the filtration function is
permanently maintained in your swimming pool.
Mode 1 (default): By selecting this operating mode, the circulation pump automatically
switches into continuous operation via the heat pump. As soon as the circulation pump
is in operation, the heat pump will start 1 minute later. Subsequently, the heat pump
will shut down when the target temperature is reached, the circulation pump, however,
remains in operation to ensure a consistent water flow in the heat pump.
Thanks to a temperature sensor in the heat exchanger chamber, the heat pump can update
the actual temperature of the swimming pool. That is why this mode is recommended.
IMPORTANT: For the defrost system to work, the heat pump must be
switched on and the circulation pump must be activated. If the circulation
pump is servo-controlled by the heat pump, it will be activated automatically.
If the heat pump is in standby mode, the system will monitor the ambient air and water
temperature in order to activate the antifreeze programme if required.
The message “Err 04” is only a note. It is no error message!
The antifreeze programme will be automatically activated when the ambient air or the
water temperature is lower than 2 °C and the heat pump has been shut down for more
than 120 minutes.
When the antifreeze programme is running, the heat pump activates the compressor
and the circulation pump in order to reheat the water to a temperature of over 2 °C.
The heat pump leaves the antifreeze mode automatically when the ambient temperature
is at least 2 °C, or when the heat pump is activated by the user.
