Place the originals in the feeder.
Cause : The originals need to be placed into the feeder (option) in order to make copies
with the specified settings.
Remedy : Place the originals into the feeder (option).
Push the duplexing unit back into position.
Cause : The duplexing unit is not properly inserted into the copier.
Remedy : Push the duplexing unit all the way into the copier.
Reduce the number of originals.
Cause : The number of originals exceeds the maximum number of originals that can be
set into the original tray of the feeder (option) at one time.
Remedy : Reduce the number of originals. For information on the maximum number of
originals that can be set, refer to “Acceptable Originals ” (see p. 5-9).
Remove the original from the platen glass.
Cause : The original cannot be fed through the feeder (option) because there is an
original on the platen glass.
Remedy : Remove the original from the platen glass.
Stapling not possible due to incorrect loading.
Cause : Stapling could not be completed because the density of the original is too high.
Remedy : Remove all paper from the sort bins.
Stopped due to incorrect loading. Remove paper from the sorter.
Cause : Sorting stopped while making two-sided copies because the copy exposure on
the front and rear sides is markedly different.
Remedy : Remove all paper from the sort bins.
