Configuring 64K Data Communication
The operation below explains how to set a
connection for 64K data communication without
using the FOMA PC Configuration Software. The
different settings from those for packet
communication and important cautions are
described.
Configuring dial-up connection and TCP/IP
settings for 64K data communication
The settings for dial-up connection and TCP/IP
for 64K data communication are the same as
those for packet communication (P73). Note the
following:
•
You do not need to set an access point name (APN) for
64K data communication. For the access point for dial-up
connection, enter the phone number of the access point
specified by your provider.
(To connect to “mopera U”, enter “
＊
8701”, or to connect
to “mopera”, enter “
＊
9601” in the phone number field.)
•
Set “Show/Hide Caller ID” or AT commands if required.
(To connect to “mopera U” or “mopera”, you need to notify
your caller ID.)
•
For details on the settings, contact your provider.
Connecting/Disconnecting
Connect/disconnect the 64K data
communication in the same way as for the
packet communication. Perform the operations
shown on P83.
Using the FirstPass PC
Software
The FirstPass PC Software allows you to access
sites supporting FirstPass from a Web browser
on a PC by using the user certificate obtained
from another FirstPass compatible FOMA
terminal.
•
This FOMA terminal cannot directly acquire the user
certificate required for FirstPass. After requesting the issue
of a user certificate or downloading it by inserting your UIM
into another FirstPass compatible FOMA terminal, reinsert
the UIM into this FOMA terminal to start using it. For
requesting the download of a user certificate, refer to the
instruction manual of the FirstPass compatible FOMA
terminal you use for obtaining the user certificate.
Checking the Operating Environments
Use the FirstPass PC Software in the following
operating environments.
•
Required memory or available hard disk space may vary
depending on the system environment.
•
Depending on the operating environment, the software
may not work. DoCoMo does not respond to any
inquiries about the use, guarantee proper operation, nor
is responsible for proper operation under operating
environments other than the above.
•
Furthermore, DoCoMo does not guarantee the
operation under the supported OS if the OS is changed
through upgrade.

Before installing
Before installing the FirstPass PC Software, read the
“FirstPass Manual” (PDF format) in the “FirstPass PC
Soft” folder contained in the included CD-ROM. To view
the manual, Adobe Reader (version 6.0 or later is
recommended) is required. The latest version of Adobe
Reader can be downloaded from the web site of Adobe
Systems Incorporated (separate communication fees
apply). For details, visit the web site of Adobe Systems.
