FOMA PC Configuration
Software
A number of settings are required when the
FOMA terminal is connected to a PC to perform
packet communication or 64K data
communication. The FOMA PC Configuration
Software allows you to easily perform the
following settings:
■
Easy settings
Creating a dialup connection for FOMA data
communication and Optimize Communication
settings can be performed automatically by
following the instructions in the guide.
■
Optimize Communication
This function optimizes the settings in the PC
required for FOMA packet communication.
Optimization of the communication settings is
required to maximize the communication
performance.
■
Configuring access point (APN)
This function performs the access point (APN)
setting required for packet communication.
Unlike 64K data communication, ordinary phone
numbers cannot be used as an access point for
FOMA packet communication. Set an access
point name called APN in FOMA terminal for each
dialup connection and enter the registration
number (cid) in the phone number field for
connection.
•
Packet communication and 64K data communication
setting can be performed without using the FOMA PC
Configuration Software.
