Available Communications
Packet/64K Data Communication
Packet Communication
Fees for this communication method are based
on the amount of exchanged data.
You can perform data communication at a
maximum of 3.6Mbps for receiving and 384Kbps
for transmitting by using a connection that
allows FOMA packet communication such as
“mopera U”, one of DoCoMo’s Internet
connection services.
•
You can perform packet communication using
international roaming under “mopera U”.
•
You can also use “mopera”, another of DoCoMo’s Internet
connection services, however, the maximum
communication speed is 384Kbps using “mopera”.
•
The communication speed varies depending on the radio
wave conditions or the access point.
•
The communication speed varies depending on the
access point under international roaming.
•
Use the “FOMA
バイトカウンタ
(FOMA Byte Counter)”
contained in the CD-ROM to check the approximate
number of transmission bytes and charges under the
packet communication.
•
Communication fees become high when performing
communications with large amount of data such as browsing
web sites with many graphics or downloading data.
•
Data communication fees under international roaming
differ from those in Japan.
•
The “FOMA
バイトカウンタ
(FOMA Byte Counter)” can
be downloaded from the DoCoMo application download
web site.

synchronous 64Kbps connection.
•
64K data communication or GSM line switching
communication is not available using international roaming
under “mopera U”.
