Configuration example
This configuration example uses the commands in Table 8, “Configure the remote
host address and file name for log transfer,” on page 30 to add an IP address for a
new host.
Passport-8310:5/config/log# transferFile 1
Passport-8310:5/config/log/transferFile/1# add-IP 10.10.42.1
Passport-8310:5/config/log/transferFile/1# info

If the IP address you are attempting to configure is not reachable, the following
message is displayed:
Destination IP address not reachable !!! Could not configure.
Logging system messages to the PCMCIA
To begin logging system messages on the PCMCIA, use the following CLI
command:
config log logToPCMCIA true
The following message is returned:
Logging to PCMCIA STARTED
Stop logging system messages to the PCMCIA
To discontinue logging system messages on the PCMCIA, use the following CLI
command:
config log logToPCMCIA false
