System Messaging Platform Reference Guide
You can specify the following, based on which file you are transferring to a
remote machine:
•
Configurable log size parameters (
)
•
IP address of remote host
•
File name – The name of the file that is to be stored in the remote host
•
Username and password, if required

Nortel recommends that you not set this option since it causes the
syslog file to be overwritten on the remote server.
Note:
This is configured when you enter the
config bootconfig

commands. Be aware that this password is not encrypted and is
saved in plain-text format in the
bootconfig
file.
