Offset from UTC. The network time servers keep time using coordinated Universal
Time (abbreviated UTC) and a twenty four hour clock. UTC is also known as GMT, or
Greenwich Mean Time. To convert UTC to local time, you have to add or subtract hours
from it using the following command. Refer to
[Table 5-1] UTC Time Conversion

(conf)# sntp utc <hours>
Usage Examples:
(conf)# sntp utc –8
=>
If you are in San Francisco, the local time is 8 hour later than
GMT, so you should set it to -8.
Removing SNTP client
To disable and clear the SNTP function, use the following command.
COMMAND
(conf)# sntp off
Viewing SNTP status
You can verify that the clock is synchronized to the NTP server. To show the status of
Network Time Protocol (NTP) associations, use the following command.

(conf)# show sntp
