Configuring SHDSL Port
The NBG440 unit supports 2 ports for a SHDSL connection. The each port is called s0 and s1.

Configuring Standard (Annex A/ Annex B)
The G.991.2 Annexes are specific to SHDSL. The G.SHDSL is organized into a base
document with two regional annexes. Annex A refers to North American specific
requirements. Annex B refers to European specific requirements.
The default is Annex A.
COMMAND
(conf)# device <ifname> annex a|b
Usage Examples:
(conf)# device s0 annex b
=> sets annex type B for standard.

Configuring Unit Type, Wire Mode and Line Rate
Unit Type
The SHDSL port operates as the Central Office (CO) or the Customer Premises
Equipment (CPE). The default type is CPE (RT).
2-wire mode and 4-wire mode
The NBG440 supports 2-wire mode and 4-wire mode. You can configure the device to
operate in 2-wire or 4-wire mode.
Set the 2-wire mode to connect two different remote networks respectively with one
pair line. Or, set the 4-wire mode to connect one remote network with two pair lines.
The default is 4-wire mode.
