WAN IP Address Serving

Small Office models only

A new feature has been added to the Netopia ISDN Router which is
called

WAN IP Address Serving

. The following definition applies:

WAN IP Address Ser ving is utilized when the Netopia ISDN Router
ser ves an IP address to an incoming call from a remote site. The
incoming caller can be either a TA (Terminal Adapter), such as the
Netopia ISDN Modem or another Netopia ISDN Router with the NAT
(Network Address Translation) feature set. The incoming caller will
dynamically obtain an IP address from a pool of IP addresses that the
Netopia ISDN Router ser ves.

The Netopia ISDN Router ser ving the IP address should have a
connection profile with an IP address of 0.0.0.0 defined for the calling
TA or Router.
