Reference Guide for the Model RH340 Internet Access ISDN Router
Configuring the Router Using FirstGear
4-5
To configure the ISDN line information:
1.
Enter the directory numbers (DNS) assigned to your ISDN phone line.
The directory numbers are the telephone numbers assigned to your ISDN line by your
telephone company. Enter the numbers in the format that you would use for local dialing. In
most areas, the local dialing format is a seven-digit number (for example, 5551212). Do not
include dashes (-) or spaces in this field.
If your switch type is AT&T 5ESS Custom Point-to-Point, you will have only one telephone
number.
2.
Select the type of ISDN switch or protocol used by your telephone company.
If the switch is running National ISDN Protocol (also called NI-1), select National ISDN
regardless of the switch manufacturer.
3.
Enter the Service Profile Identifier (SPID) numbers provided by your telephone
company.
If your switch type is AT&T 5ESS Custom Point-to-Point, SPID numbers are not required.
4.
Click on Next.
The Configuration Wizard ISDN Test window opens, as illustrated in
